HOW IS FREEDOM FORCE PROTECTED FROM INFILTRATORS?
by G. Edward Griffin, 2005 November 16

A new member in Bakersfield, California, has raised an important question relating to Freedom Force strategy. He wrote: “Thank you for all your efforts and for making this happen. I am still digesting the information and am very enthused by the potential of this movement. At present I have but one question: What methods are employed to keep saboteurs and/or infiltrators out of our ranks? Thank you, and I look forward to serving Freedom Force.”

This was my reply: There is no way to identify agent provocateurs until they begin to do their dirty work, which means some action that is in violation of the Creed of Freedom or our Code of Conduct. We are structured so that anyone who consistently does that will be dropped from membership. However, as long as they abide by the rules, they are welcome, because they will actually help to further our mission. If they join to learn our inner secrets, they will soon discover that we don’t have any. Everything we believe and everything we do is proclaimed in our literature and on our web site. The only thing they might acquire is a membership list of the chapter to which they belong, but that would be of zero value, because our members are already known in their communities as outspoken champions of freedom and proud members of our organization. So, if there are no secrets to be discovered, infiltrators will have little reason to hang around. An agent provocateur could still cause damage by doing something horrendous and then publicly claiming membership, thus giving ammunition to a hostile media. There is no way to prevent that, but we can overcome the damage by continuously and aggressively broadcasting our true principles to the world and conspicuously living up to them in our personal lives. In any battle, there will be setbacks and casualties, but we will not allow that reality to put us into a defensive posture or deter us from our path.
