ORIGINS
The Matrix is one of the most talked about movies of recent time. The first episode was released in March of 1999, quickly followed by several sequels, animated cartoons, comic books, and video games. One of the reasons for the film’s popularity is it surreal action, but even more important is the story line, which many viewers perceive as a metaphor of real life.

The film portrays a future in which the world has been taken over by computers and machines that now cultivate human bodies to plug their brains into a global network where they serve as computing assets. They are unaware of their true state because they are programmed to experience a virtual reality in which they believe they are living a pleasant and normal life while, in truth, they are immersed in liquid pods wired up to the Matrix. Their pleasant experiences are just in their minds.

The story centers on a small band of humans who have avoided the Matrix and who are attempting to help others break free. The first step is to get them unplugged, which is no easy task, but the second step is even more difficult. It is to convince them to stay unplugged. The problem is that reality is harsh and dangerous, whereas the Matrix offers a sense of serenity and comfort.

Once they are unplugged, humans must choose between reality and fantasy, and to do so they are offered two pills. The red pill will bring them all the way into reality. Once it is taken, they can never return to the comfort of delusion. The blue pill will put them back to sleep where they can be reconnected to the Matrix. Many choose the blue pill.

The parallels to modern life are obvious. There are those among us who know there are forces and agendas behind the scenes that are not acknowledged by our leaders and media gatekeepers, but they really would rather not know, because it would be upsetting. Since they feel there is nothing they can do about it anyway, they would rather continue their lives unperturbed by reality. In other words, the Matrix is real.

ENTER PROJECT RED PILL
By now you have guessed that Project Red Pill is a program to rescue our fellow humans from the Matrix, allowing them to choose reality over delusion. However, as long as they are totally dependent on the controlled channels of communication for information, they cannot escape. Therefore, the first step is to create an independent flow of information. Books and publications are important; but, inside the Matrix of the real world, most people are wired up to television, so that is where we must start.

Project Red Pill has assembled a collection of documentary and expository programs that have been suppressed by mainstream media. Our mission is to flood these into the Matrix by the tens-of-thousands and, ultimately, millions.

Each disk holds three or four programs recorded at Internet quality. Packaging consists of a simple label and a plain paper sleeve. They are free to recipients, because the cost is sustained by team members of Project Red Pill. Disks may be duplicated provided they are given, not sold, no changes are made to the recording or label, and they are not used to promote a commercial venture. Programs also are available for free viewing at our Red Pill channel on YouTube.

Producers allow us to distribute these programs without royalty because they are followed by on-screen invitations to purchase a high-resolution version. Experience has shown that, instead of diminishing the sale of original DVDs, the effect is just the opposite. Most people will not purchase; but some, who otherwise would not even know these programs exist, will want high-resolution versions for their personal collection. Untold thousands will view these programs, and the side benefit is that sales actually will increase. For producers who are anxious to get their message before a large audience, this is a win-win situation.

TEAM STRUCTURE
Project Red Pill is powered by volunteers as follows:

1. A Project Director heads up the international operation. He is selected by the International President and must be a member of Freedom Force.

2. Two Project Coordinators assist the Project Director. Each one must be able to serve as Project Director if the need arises. Additional Coordinators will be added in language-specific regions. They are selected by the Project Director and must be members of Freedom Force.

3. Team Captains distribute DVDs to the general public (as distinct from those who distribute only to personal acquaintances). They may work alone or with others, as they wish. Anyone may be a Team Captain. Membership in Freedom Force is not required.

4. Team Members are anyone who participates by distributing DVDs to personal acquaintances or anyone who sends DVDs to Team Captains to be distributed to the general public. Membership in Freedom Force is not required.

DISTRIBUTION
There are three modes of distribution. Which is the best for you?

1. PERSONAL: Team Members purchase DVDs and give them to friends, neighbors, family members, and business associates. They attach a signed note that says: “Thanks for being my friend. Here’s some information I think you will find interesting.” They may use alternate notes for special situations (such as when leaving tips at restaurants or hair salons or when shopping at retail stores) that say: “Thanks for great service. Here’s some information I think you will find interesting.” These notes should be hand written for maximum impact.

2. PUBLIC: Team Captains make mailings to any list provided to them, distribute DVDs door-to-door, put them on windshields, pass them out on street corners, at trade shows, public demonstrations, political rallies, and shopping malls. They acquire DVDs either from their own funds or from Team Members who supply them for this purpose.

3. PROGRAMMED: For those who are too shy to undertake public distribution, the programmed method is a perfect solution. Team Captains are standing by to distribute as many DVDs as we can give them. If you supply the disks, they will do the work. This method is particularly powerful because, long after your personal list of acquaintances is exhausted, programmed distribution just keeps going.

FREE VIEWING ON INTERNET (under development): In addition to physical distribution, all programs will be available for free viewing on the Red Pill web site, and everyone is encouraged to include a link to this site in every email they send. If they have a web site or blog of their own, they can post a Red Pill banner that will link to these programs.

Red Pill programs may be purchased from The Reality Zone at non-profit prices. Production of the first DVDs is now being initiated, and the list of titles will be posted here soon.

We cannot restore freedom without rescuing our fellow human beings from The Matrix. So, if you are wondering what one person can do, here is the answer.

FINAL THOUGHT
Before jumping into Project Red Pill, we must be clear about our mission. Freedom Force is not an activist organization in pursuit of issue-related agendas. It is an ideological organization devoted to the principles expressed in The Creed of Freedom. Our mission is, not to mobilize mass action under our own banner, but for our members to become influential in other organizations, many of which are activist in nature. By working within and supporting those power centers of society, we seek to bring all groups into harmony with the force of freedom.

This is an important fact to keep in mind when evaluating any proposal for Freedom Force activity. It is tempting to forget our unique mission and focus entirely on issues that relate to the news or have strong appeal to the general population; but, if we were to do so, we would be no different than most other organizations in this movement, and there would be little justification for our existence. A byproduct of that error would be that we never could address all the issues and would become bogged down in dissent over which ones are the most important; so everything we do must be consistent with our unique mission of being an ideological gyroscope to guide the movements of other groups.

Our greatest need at present is to reach out to those who, although not fully informed, know that all is not as it appears on the evening news. Project Red Pill was conceived as a means of reaching those people and bringing them into the movement. The danger is that those who participate may become so wrapped up in the issues that they forget our mission. If all we do is wake up our fellow citizens to the hidden agendas of the ruling elite without leading them to an understanding of the ideological forces behind those agendas, we will not prepare them to recognize that Left and Right are merely two wings of the same ugly bird called collectivism, and that will leave them vulnerable to Leninist propaganda. There is no merit in replacing neo-Nazis with neo-Communists. This problem can be solved if we make sure that Project Red Pill always includes information leading to an understanding of the ideological foundations of current events.
